“Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account.
Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.” Hebrews 13:17
Hebrews 13:17 GCBC members prioritize caring for our pastor and his family for several reasons. Firstly, pastors and their families carry significant responsibilities in nurturing and leading the church community spiritually and emotionally. Supporting our First Family enables them to fulfill their ministry effectively without undue stress or strain. Additionally, showing care for them reflects Christ's love and teachings about honoring those in leadership roles. It fosters a healthy church environment where relationships are valued and mutual support is practiced. Ultimately, caring for the pastor's family is a tangible expression of gratitude for their dedication and service to the congregation, ensuring their well-being and enabling
them to thrive in ministry.
