Meet our Pastor
Pastor Niles R. Wilson is a native of Newark, New Jersey. He attended schools in the Newark Public School system and is an alumnus of Arts High School.
Pastor Wilson has several degrees, including a BA in Criminal Justice from Kean University, a Bachelor of Theology from the United Bible College and Seminary, a Master of Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickenson University, and a Master's and Doctorate of Religious Education from the Divinity Bible Institute. Pastor Wilson is also a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy and the Penn State Police Executive Leadership Program.
Pastor Wilson is a son of the Greater Harvest Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. He accepted the call to Ministry and was licensed in 1993 and ordained in 1994, and in December 1995, he was called to serve as the second Pastor of Greater Cornerstone. He began his duties on January 7, 1996.
In addition to serving as the Pastor of Greater Cornerstone, Pastor Wilson spent 27 years in public service with the Newark Police Department. During his career, he served in many, and positions, including serving as the Deputy Police Director.
Pastor Wilson is currently employed as the Sr. Director of Law Enforcement Initiatives with the Center for Policing Equity, a non-profit organization that advocates for change in vulnerable communities by helping police departments implement community-centered policies and practices that will deliver equitable policing outcomes for black and brown people.
Pastor Wilson is a member and Past President of the United Clergy of the Oranges. He is also a member of several national fraternal law enforcement organizations and the Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society for Public Administrators.
Pastor Wilson is married to the talented and anointed LaTosha Wilson, and they are the proud parents of two daughters (Alyssa and Kayla). Pastor and First Lady Wilson are residents of Orange, NJ, and they have been married since 1993.
