Pastor Niles R. Wilson is a native of Newark New Jersey. He attended schools in the Newark Public School system, and is an alumnus of Arts High School.
Following high school, Pastor Wilson attended Kean College before attending and Graduating from the Institute of Audio Research with a focus on Audio Engineering and Multi-Track Recording. In 1994 Pastor Wilson graduated from the United Bible College and Seminary, and the Evangelical Bible Institute with a Bachelor of Theology Degree. In addition, he is a graduate of the Newark Police Academy and the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico Virginia. Since retiring, Pastor Wilson has returned to school and is pursuing his Master's Degree in Christian Education from Divinity Bible Institute and a degree in Criminal Justice from Kean University.
Pastor Wilson accepted the call to Ministry and was licensed in 1993 while a member of the Greater Harvest Baptist Church and under the leadership of the late Rev. Charles Banks. He was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in June of 1994.
In December of 1995, Pastor Wilson was called to serve as the second Pastor of the Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church, which was organized in 1954. He began his duties on the first Sunday in January 1996.
Since that time, Pastor Wilson has worked diligently to preach, teach, train, and prepare the body of Christ for the work of Kingdom Building. Pastor Wilson has led Greater Cornerstone into this millennium with a focus on serving God and living a committed Christian lifestyle. His passion for ministry and the people of God has been the driving force behind all that he does.
In addition to serving as the Pastor of Greater Cornerstone, Rev. Wilson spent 27 years in public service with the Newark Police Department. During his career he served in many Command Rank positions including Deputy Police Director from (2007-2011) On October 1, 2017 he retired from the Police Department as a Captain.
Pastor Wilson is a member and Past President of the United Clergy of the Oranges. He is also a member of other fraternal law enforcement organizations throughout the State.
Pastor Wilson is married to the talented and anointed LaTosha Wilson; and they are the proud parents of two daughters (Alyssa and Kayla). Pastor and First Lady Wilson are residents of Orange NJ, and on September 18th, they celebrated their 25th wedding Anniversary.
