I Feel Like Pressing My Way
We must put our purpose and passion into perspective by:
- Seek the righteousness of God
- Our good must profit the Kingdom of God
- Our life must please God
- We must live for Jesus
- We must know Christ and trust Him
- Utilizing practical experience
- Paul understood:
- That he must suffer as Christ suffered
- That he gained more than he lost
- Lost the garbage of his life - his worldly possessions
- Gained Jesus and His values
- Paul understood:
- It is not easy and it doesn't come naturally
- Humility
- Self-sacrifice
- Persecution
- We must press our way against:
- The temptations of current culture
- Sin
- How should I press:
- Leave the past behind
- Help each other
- Be honest with ourselves
- Start where we fall by getting up
- Forget people who want you to live in your past
- Understand that the enemy looks for you where he last saw you
- Reach for what lies ahead and in heaven's glory
- The promises of God
- My purpose
- My joy
- My anointing
- The new challenges that I am now prepared for
- Heavenly prizes
- Spiritual maturity
- Those who are spiritually mature will understand these things
- Those who are not spiritually mature will understand when God tells them (once God decides they have reached spiritual maturity)
