By order of the Gonvenor of New Jersey, all public gatherings in Non-Essential places have been put on hold until further notice. With this, gathering for public worship has been affected, and all services held at our church building have been postponed. Although the church building may be closed, Greater Cornerstone is Open for the Lord's Business.
Until we are informed that it is safe for our members and guests to gather for worship, all worship services will be conducted online. Sunday morning services will be live-streamed via Facebook Live, and Instagram Live. By 5pm each Sunday, the service will also be available via our YouTube page, and on this Web-site by selecting the Media tab. Bible study is held on Wednesday evenings at 6pm via Zoom.
If you have any questions regarding our services or would like information about becoming a Christian and Following Christ, or if you are interested in becoming a member of Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church, you may send your inquiry to email@example.com.
Welcome to Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church. We are honored that you have taken the time to visit our website, and it is our hope and desire that you have an opportunity to visit with us very soon.
We are aware that it isn't easy visiting a church for the first time. You may be wondering what do I wear, can I bring my children, where do I park, or will I have to say anything?
Prayerfully, we can help answer some of those questions in this section of our website.
Currently, we only have one worship service on Sundays. From September thru May, our morning worship begins at 11:00 am. From June thru August, our worship service begins at 10:00 am.
CHILDREN & ATTIRE
We certainly encourage you to attend worship with your children. On the third Sunday of each month, the children's and youth Choir ministers in song. On the 2nd Sunday of every month, our young adult choir ministers in song, and on the 4th Sunday of every month, the Liturgical Dance Ministry ministers in dance.
When it comes to our standards of dress. Greater Cornerstone welcomes our guests to dress comfortably. We do ask that you wear clothing that will allow you and others to focus on worshipping God and not your appearance. Please note that during the summer months the air conditioning can cause the church to feel very cold, and a covering is recommended if you get cold easily. In addition to that, during the winter months, the heating system can cause the church to become rather warm; and we encourage you to prepare for that.
Our church can be challenging to find for first time visitors not familiar with the AMPERE SECTION of East Orange. Our Church is located at 235 N. 18th Street in East Orange. We are located on the block of N. 18th Street situated between Springdale Avenue and 4th Avenue. This portion of N. 18th Street is a ONE-WAY southbound from Springdale towards 4th Avenue.
Note: Please disregard Google's error on the address. It should appear as N. 18th Street and not N. 19th Street.
Street parking is available on North 18th Street in front of the Church and along Ampere Plaza.
Off Street parking is available in our two parking lots located directly behind the church. To access the parking lots enter Centerway Street from Springdale Avenue. Centerway St. is a ONE WAY Street, that runs parallel to North 18th Street behind the church. As you near the end of Centerway Street and before reaching Crescent Place, you will see the entrance to our two parking lots on your right, and the rear gate to gain entrance into the church on your left.

EXPLORING MEMBERSHIP AT GREATER CORNERSTONE
The Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church family welcomes all those who have accepted the free gift of salvation by faith and who believes that Jesus is the promised Messiah and soon returning King.
Membership at Greater Cornerstone is more than membership to an organization, but its a membership to a Christian family. At the conclusion of each worship service, the pastor or the assigned minister extends an invitation to Christian Discipleship. At that time you are free to come to the front as an open declaration of your intention to accept Christ as your savior, and or offer yourself in fellowship as a member of our church family. There are three ways that a person may join Greater Cornerstone.
1. By open confession that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and repentance of sins. This qualifies you as a candidate for the Believer's Baptism by Immersion; which is an act of obedience when a person receives Jesus Chris as Savior.
2. By Statement of Continuing Faith. This is when a person comes from another Christian Church that teaches Salvation by Grace, and Baptism by Immersion. This person wishes to continue their Christian Experience at Greater Cornerstone after previously serving at another church.
3. By Letter of Transfer. This is when a person is transferring their membership from another Christian Church to Greater Cornerstone. In most cases, persons by letter are transplants from other areas of the state or country. A Letter of Transfer is also appropriate when transferring membership from a church that Greater Cornerstone partners with in fellowship and ministry projects.
After joining the church, and being baptized if necessary; members are assimilated into the church family through a membership orientation class presented by our Christian Education Ministry. On the First Sunday of every month, new members are extended the Right Hand of Fellowship by the Pastor, First Lady, Minister, Mother's and Officers of the Church to welcome you to your new church family.
